I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth. 3 John 1:4

We have been in survival mode for the month of May. So much that must be done, we hardly have time for sleep. However, Monday morning the 31st we are leaving it all behind for a week in the Smoky Mountains. We are striving hard and keeping our eyes on the vacation goal.
Jerome has been working like crazy on our rental house. Our desire is to sell it, but if not, we can rent again. He has had new carpet put in, new floor in the kitchen and main bathroom, remodeling the bathroom to include a new shower enclosure and painting throughout. It is looking awesome. Since he doesn't have anymore time to take off work, he leaves the house right after a quick breakfast, works on the house and then heads to work -- getting home around 11:30pm. He is tired, but the light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter. The kids and I have been to the house to help when we can, cleaning, painting or mowing, but Jerome is doing the lion's share of work.
Mary is 13 now, bringing our teenage count up to three. We took her cake and presents to the rental house and had a picnic on that new floor.
She chose caramel cheesecake. I think it might be a new family favorite.
In the middle of all our doin's Riane returned from her trip to Journey of the Heart. We did not have an extra digital camara to send with her, but she did receive a couple of pictures from a friend.
She came back closer to the Lord and full of spirit. It is inspiring us all to walk closer and deeper.
